3、t.Generally,comparativewiththesinglevessel,researchoftowingsystem’smaneuverabilitywasnotverymuch.Inrecentyears,thetowingoperationswhichincludetugboatassistanceinharbor,rescueatseaandtowageofoceanengineeringconstructionsareincreasingconstantly.Andtherearemanyriskswhichwouldaffectshippingsecurity
4、ofthetowingsystemintheseoperations,suchasthetowingrope’srupture,thetowingropetouchedseabedandtowedvessel’syawing.Inthepast,sailorsoperatedtowingvesselwiththeirexperienceandwithoutsystemictheory.Therefore,towingsystem’smaneuverabilityshouldberesearchedforkeepingthetowingoperationssafe.Firstly,ac
5、cordingtotheMMG'sseparatedmodelingtheory,thisthesisgivesthemaneuveringmotioncoordinateoftowingsystem,andasetofmanoeuvringmotionequationsofthetowingsystemwhichconsistsofatowvessel,atowingropeandatowedvesselwasestablished.Thenthecatenarymodelischosenforcalculatingthetensionoftowingrope.TheRunge-K
