6、ible.iABSTRACTItisgenerallyacknowledgedthatcommunicationbearsacloserelationshipwithsecondlanguageacquisitionandthattheprimarygoalofforeignlanguageinstructionshouldbethecultivationoflearners’communicativecompetence,thepremiseofwhich,however,isthedevelopment
7、oflearners’willingnesstocommunicate(WTC)inL2.Therefore,researcherssuchasMacIntyreetal.(1998)proposedtheconstructofL2WTC.Asanewindividualdifference(ID)variable,L2WTChasbeenextensivelystudiedinrecentyears.However,mostofthesestudieswerefocusedonexaminingL2WTC
8、inrelationtoavarietyofIDfactorsintheWesternESLcontext;littleefforthasbeendevotedtoinvestigatingL2WTCinconjunctionwithclassroomcontextualvariablesundertheEFLcontext.Therefore,thepresentstudyisundertaken,usingP
