2、ndlandintheearlieryearsofexpresswayconstructionsinChina，manyoftheexpresswaysbuiltyearsagoareoperatedundersaturatedflowconditionbeforetheirexpirations．Inordertobetterservethetransportationdemandsbothnowandinthefuture，theexpresswaysshouldberebuiltorwidened．Thereconstructionofex

3、presswayisundergoneinitsveryfirstage．Sincethereconstructedexpresswaysundertakeveryheavytrafficvolumesandthelocalroadsparalleltothemarelow—classhighwayseventhoughtheyareurbanstreets，theycannothavesufficientcapacitytotakeoverthetrafficflowsdivertedfromtheexpresswaysunderreconst

4、ruction．Undertheinadequateconditionsfortrafficflowdiversionsaswellastheexpresswayreconstructionsproceedednotclosedtotraffic，thetrafficorganizationsguaranteedbothtoconstructionsafetyandsmoothlyandkeepthetrafficflowuncongestedareveryhardtask，theircomplexityisveryhigh，andfinally

5、itisnecessarytodotheresearchonit．Basedontheprinciplesoftrafficengineeringandbyuseofatrafficsimulationsoftwarepackage，thetraffic-keepingmeasuresoftrafficflowduringreconstructionofaexpresswayisthoroughlyandsystematicallystudiedinthisdissertation．Therearethefollowingaspectsaccom
