4、bdominalinjury.BleedingUntilemergencyhelparrives,trytocontrolbleeding.Ifpossible,firstputonrubberorlatexglovesbeforetouchingblood.Ifthesearenotavailable,acleanplasticbagcanbeusedtocoveryourhands.Itisimportantnottocomeincontactwithbloodbecauseofthehealthrisks.Iffingerorhandpressu
5、reisinadequatetocontrolbleeding,placeathickpadofcleanclothorbandagedirectlyoverthewound,andholdinplacewithabelt,bandage,necktiesorclothstrips.Takecarenottostopthecirculationtotherestofthelimb.Forinjurieswhereatiecannotbeused,suchastothegroin,back,chest,headandneck,placeathickpad
6、ofcleanclothorbandagedirectlyoverthewoundandcontrolthebleedingwithfingerorhandpressure.Ifbonesarenotbroken,raisethebleedingparthigherthantherestofthebody.Iftheinjuryisextensive,thevictimmaygointoshockandshouldbetreatedforit.Asalastresort,atourniquetcanbeappliedtostopbleeding.The
7、reisariskofsacrificingalimbtosavealife.Atourniquetisawidebandofclothorothermaterialtightlyplacedjustabovethewoundtostopallflowofblood.Atourniquetcrushesthetissueandcancausepermanentdamagetonervesandbloodvessels.Onceinplace,atourniquetmustbeleftthereuntilaphysicianremovesit.Thevi
