3、tability.Nonlinearbifurcationtheoryisusedtoillustratetherelationshipbetweenlocalinstabilityandmid-frequencyoscillatorymotion.Anovelanalysisispresentedtoanalyzethelossofsynchronismphenomenon,whichisidentifiedashigh-frequencyinstability.Theconceptsofseparatricesandattractorsinphase-spac

4、eareusedtoderiveaquantitytoevaluatethehigh-frequencyinstability.Byusingthisquantityonecaneasilyestimatethestabilityforhighsupplyfrequencies.Furthermore,astabilizationmethodispresented.Ageneralizedapproachtoanalyzethestabilizationproblembasedonfeedbacktheoryisgiven.Itisshownthatthemid-

6、yallowsforaccuratepositioncontrolwithoutfeedback.Thatis,theycantrackanysteppositioninopen-loopmode,consequentlynofeedbackisneededtoimplementpositioncontrol.SteppermotorsdeliverhigherpeaktorqueperunitweightthanDCmotors;inaddition,theyarebrushlessmachinesandthereforerequirelessmaintenan
