5、lessnumbersandempiricalcorrelationshavebeenusedastoolsfordesign,scale-upandoperationofstirredtanks.Sincetheturbulentthree-dimensionalflowofsingleormultiphasefluidarecomplexinstirredtanks,thesedimensionlessnumbersandempiricalrelationsareclearlyinadequate.Som
6、eresearchershavegivensomesimplifiedmathimaticalmodels,butthesemodelsintensivelydependonexperimentaldata.Tofullyunderstandtheprocessesoccurringinstirredtanks,mathematicalmodelingoflocalhydrodynamicbehavioraredesiredindepth.Thisthesisisdevotedtotheabovetaskso
7、nthebasisofcomputationalfluiddynamics(CFD).Inaccordancewiththeanisotropicfeatureofturbulentflow,ananisotropicreynoldsstressmodel(RSM)isadoptedtopredicttheturbulentflowfieldandturbulentcharacteristicsgeneratedbyaRushtondiscturbinewiththeslidingmeshiterativep
