4、ishlearningisasecondlanguageacquisitionforstudentsinChina,comparedwiththenativespeakers.Whendeliveringaspeech,studentswillmakeerrorsandinappropriateexpressionseverynowandthen.Inreallifecommunication,therefore,students’oralEnglishabilityneedstobestrengthenedforthepractica
5、luse.Inthepresentstudy,theauthoradoptsthedefinitionofself-correctionpromotedbyGreen,P.S.andHecht,K.(1993)whoregardself-correctionasausefultooltoproducemorecomprehensibleoutputandanimportantfactorindicatinglanguagelearning.Asfortheclassificationofself-correction,theauthor
6、dividesthetypesintofivepartsaccordingtothestudiesofLevelt(1983),vanHest,E.(2000),WenQiufangandZhuangYilin(2005),whichare:1)phoneticself-correction;2)lexicalself-correction;3)grammaticalself-correction;4)syntacticself-correction;5)self-correctionofcontent.Furthermore,base
