2、niorMember,IEEEAbstract—Solid-stateswitch-moderectificationconvertershavedevelopedusingnewsolidstateselfcommutatingdevicesreachedamaturedlevelforimprovingpowerqualityintermsofsuchasMOSFETs,insulatedgatebipolartransistors(IGBTs),power-factorcorrection(PFC),reducedtotalharmonicdistortiongatetur
3、n-offthyristors(GTO),etc.,evensomeofwhichatinputacmainsandpreciselyregulateddcoutputinbuck,boost,haveeithernotbeenthoughtornotpossibletobedevelopedbuck–boostandmultilevelmodeswithunidirectionalandbidirec-tionalpowerflow.Thispaperdealswithacomprehensivereviewearlierusingdiodesandthyristors.Suc
4、hpiecesofequipmentofimprovedpowerqualityconverters(IPQCs)configurations,con-aregenerallyknownasconverters,butspecificallynamedtrolapproaches,designfeatures,selectionofcomponents,otherre-asswitch-moderectifiers(SMRs),power-factorcorrectorslatedconsiderations,andtheirsuitabilityandselectionfors
5、pecific(PFCs),pulsewidth-modulation(PWM)rectifiers,multilevelapplications.Itistargetedtoprovideawidespectrumonthestatusrectifiers,etc.BecauseofstrictrequirementofpowerqualityatofIPQCtechnologytoresearchers,designersandapplicationengi-neersworkingonswitched-modeac–dcconverters.Aclassifiedlisti
6、nputacmainsseveralstandards[1]–[3]havebeendevelopedofmorethan450researchpublicationsonthestateofartofIPQCandarebeingenforcedontheconsumers.Becauseofseverityisalsogivenforaquickreference.ofpowerqualityproblemssomeotheroptionssuchaspassiveIndexTerms—AC–DCconverters,harmonicreduction,im-filters,
