4、decisionproblem.Despitetherisinginterestinmonetarycostdisclosure,itseffectivenessrelativetophysicalcostdisclosurehasnotbeenrigorouslyevaluated.Thisresearchapproachedthequestionofeffectivenesswithanonlinefieldexperimentforwashingmachines.Customersofacommercially

5、operatingonlineshopwererandomlyassignedtotwogroups.Thecontrolgroupwasprovidedwithregularproductpriceinformation;thetreatmentgroupreceivedaddi-tionalLCCinformation.Atotalof2,065clickswererecordedandanalyzedwithmultipleregressionthatcontrolledforsev-eralproductc

6、haracteristics.TheevidencesuggeststhatLCCdisclosuredecreasesthemeanspecificenergyuseofchosenwashingmachinesby0.8%(p<0.01)andtheirmeanspecificAddresscorrespondenceto:wateruseby0.7%(p<0.05).Astobusinessimplications,MatthiasDeutschLCCdisclosurehadnoeffectontheindic
