4、relaysinParis,London,andSanFranciscodemonstrated.Aninternetpostingentitled“ChineseGrievances”writes:“[W]hatdoyouwantfromus?WhenweweretheSickManofAsia,WewerecalledTheYellowPeril.WhenwearebilledtobethenextSuperpower,wearecalledtheThreat.Whenweclosedourdoors,yousmuggleddrugstoopenourma
5、rkets.WhenweembraceFreeTrade,Youblameusfortakingawayyourjobs.”Chinahasbeenconstantlyengaginginsoul-searchingaboutitsrelationswithWesterncountriesandwhatisChina’srightfulplaceintheinternationalorder.Yet,howtheoutsideworldandinternationalorderlooksfromtheChinesepointofviewisaquestiona
