3、,shortwavelengthradiation(X-rays)exhibitsmostlyparticleproperties.Thetwoworldsmeetintheopticalregime.Todescribeopticalradiationinnano-opticsitismostlysufficienttoadaptthewavepicture.ThisallowsustouseclassicalfieldtheorybasedonMaxwell’sequa-tions.Ofcourse,innano-optics,thesystemswit
