4、ionofeverywirelesssimulator,makingsignal-strengthpredictionformicrocellsandpicocellsanimportantresearchtopicintheradiofield.Efficientandaccuratemethodsareneededforuseincurrentwirelessnetworkdesignandfuturewirelessnetworkresearch.Thispaperdescribesasystem,PREDICT,designedforuseinwirelessradi
5、osignalpredictionresearch.PREDICTtrackstheexpansionofatransmitter’swavefrontbymodelingthewavefrontasaneverexpandingspherecentereduponthetransmitter.Thesphere’sexpansionistrackedbydiscretizingthesphere’ssurfacewithatriangu-lationandthenpropagatingeachtriangularwavefrontthroughtheenvironme
6、nt.Inthepropagationpredictionofthesetriangularwavefronts,PREDICTsupportsre-flection,transmissionanddiffractionbaseduponthegeometricoptics(GO)modelofelectromagneticwaves.Signalpredictionisperformedthroughaspecialsummationofthepredictedmulti-pathatareceiver.PREDICT’salgorithmshavebeenspecific
7、allydesignedforuseinradiosignalpre-diction.ThecurrentenvironmentssupportedbyPREDICTareurbanwithflatorvariedterrainandasinglefloorofabuilding,whereallobstaclesintheenvironmenthaveverticalorhorizontalwalls.Thesystemdesignisflexible,allowingPREDICTtobeexpandedforuseinmanydiffere
