2、andachallengeforthosewhoplan,writeandeditpublications.Itsetsahighstandardtheymustmaintain.AmericanBusinessMediahasalwayshelditseditorstosuchhighstandards.Indeed,theannualJesseH.NealAwards,namedfortheAssociation'sfirstpresident,wereestablishedinthemid-1950stoencourageeditorialexcell

3、enceandhavebecomethehighesthonorsgrantedforbusiness-to-businessjournalism.ABM’sCodeofPublishingPractice,apartofABM’sConstitutionAndBy-Laws,hasbeeninplaceformorethan33years,andrequiresthatABMmembercompaniesmaintainstrictstandardsofjournalisticethics.TheEditorialCommitteeworkswithits

4、memberstomaintaineditorialqualityatmemberpublications.Aspartofthatmission,theEditorialCommitteeregularlyreviewsandupdatesthisEditorialCodeofEthicsandGuidetoPreferredPractices,whichhasbeenapprovedbytheAmericanBusinessMediaExecutiveCommittee.Thisrevisionhastwoparts.Thefirstpartisacod

5、eofethicsprimarilyforprinteditionsofpublications,andthesecondcoversonlineversions.IGeneraleditorialcodeofethics:Editors,reportersandwritersemployedbyAmericanBusinessMediapublicationsadheretothehigheststandardsofjournalisticpractice.Indoingso,theypledgeto:a.Maintainhonesty,integrity
