3、CurriculumStandardforSeniorEnglishstates，theoverallaimofEnglishcurriculumistocultivatestudents’overalllanguageproficiency,andwritingisthemainpartofit．However,writinghasbeenaweaklinkinseniorEnglishteachingforalongtime．Althoughthetraditionalteachingmethodsofwriting，suchastheproductapproac

4、handtheprocessapproachandSOon，canmakesomestudentsgetgoodmarksinwriting，theseteachingmethodsmainlyfocusontheforms，suchasthegrammaticalnormalizationinlanguageandthecorrectnessinspelling，andtheyignoretheenrichmentofthecontentandthereasonablenessofthediscoursestructures．Soithassomeshortcomi

5、ngsinstrengtheningstudents’motivationandinterestinwritingandeffectivelyimprovingstudents’overallwritinglevels．Basedonthedeficiencyofthepreviousstudies，thethesisproposesthatanewteachingmethod，Content-BasedInstruction，shouldbeappliedtoEnglishwritingteachingSOastosubstitutethetraditionalte

6、achingmethods．ThenewteachingmethodismoresuitablefortheteachingofYilinversionofOxfordSeniorEnglishtextbooks，whicharebasedonunittopics．Meanwhile，itisinaccordancewiththescoringcriteriaoftheEnglishcompositionsintheCollegeEntranceExamination，whosedominantpartisthecontents．Thiskindoftheteachi
