3、achmessage.Byeliminatingotherkindsofcontrolinformationfromthemessages,thecommunicationoverheadscanbesigni cantlyreduced.Inthispaperwepresentanalgorithmthatusesthisknowledgetoecientlyenforcecausalorderingofmessages.Theproposedalgorithmdoesnotrequireanypriorknowledgeofthenetworktopologyo

4、rcommunicationpat-tern.Ascomputationproceeds,itacquiresknowledgeofthecommunicationpatternandiscapableofhandlingdynamicallychangingmulticastcommunicationgroups,andminimizingthecommunicationoverheads.Withregardtocommunicationoverheads,thealgorithmisoptimalforthebroadcastcommunicationcase.

5、Extensivesimulationexperimentsdemonstratethatthealgorithmimposeslowercommunicationoverheadsthanpreviouscausalorderingalgorithms.Thealgorithmcanbeemployedinavari-etyofdistributedcomputingenvironments.Itsenergyeciencyandlowbandwidthrequirementmakeitespeciallysuitableformobilecomputingsys
