4、nomyandsociallife.Inessence,thelanguageofadvertisingispersuasiveandhasthecharacteristicsofutilitarianism.Particularlyinthecommercialadvertisement,advertiserswoulddotheirutmosttoconveytherelevantinformationaboutproductsorservicestothetargetedconsumersbyexploitin
5、geverypossiblelinguisticornon-linguistictechnique,attemptingtoke印aconsultiveorinteractiverelationshipwiththetargetedconsumers,forRepurposeofinfluencingandpersuadingthemtomakepurchasedecisions.Asoneofthesignificanttopicinlinguistics,especiallyinpragmatics,presup
6、positionisoftenadoptedtogetbetterpersuasioneffectsduetoitsspecificcharacteristicsoffelicity,commonground,unidirectionality,subjectivity,andlatency.Itisprovedthatproperuseofpragmaticpresuppositioninadvertisinglanguageisatypeofeffectivepersuasionstrategy.W-iththe
