7、unishmentanddiscipline．KeyWords：TheScarletLetter；power；discourse；indoctrination万方数据摘要纳撒尼尔·霍桑的代表作《红字》一贯被誉为美国文学的经典作品之一。基于其罪与赎罪的显著特征，《红字》的国内外主要传统研究或多或少都无不带着宗教的色彩。着眼于脱掉宗教的神秘外衣，本文致力于追寻隐藏在宗教背后的身影。本文的分析建立在米歇尔·福柯《规训与惩罚》的基础上，以惩罚和规训为主线，应用福柯的权力一话语理论，从法律话语、道德话语、宗教话语三个角度尝试探讨《红字》中的权力关系。本文
