3、arisestheinterestsoflinguists．Duringrecentyears，manyresearchersdevotethemselvestodisclosethesourcesofmisunderstandingandquitealotofviewshavebeenputforward，whichbringsUSmuchnearertotheintrinsicsourceofmisunderstanding．Basedonthesepreviousresearches，thecurrentstudyendea

4、vorstofurtherinvestigatetheintrinsiccausesofmisunderstandingfromacognitivepsychologicalperspective．RepresentatiVenessheuristicputforwardbyKahnemanandTversky，isatypeofcognitivebiaswhichcaninfluenceanindividual’Sjudgmentandreasoning．Thepresentstudycomesupwithsuchahypoth

5、esisthatitistheinterferenceofrepresentatiVenessheuristicthatleadstothedivergenceofreasoningfromtheidealpragmaticmodel，whichisoneofthesystematicandintrinsicsourcesoftheinevitabilityofmisunderstandinginverbalcommunication．Inordertomaketheviewofthestudymorepersuasive，the

6、presentstudyvalidatesthehypothesisbyaquestionnaire-orientedmethod．Thequestionnaireisdesignedonthebasisofthematerialscollectedfromthepreviousrelatedliteratureandtheconversationsindailycommunication．Thereare130subjectstestedbythequestionnaires，butthevalidonesare10．Witht

7、hehelpofSPSS，thestudyverifiesthehypothesisbyanalyzingthedataofeachquestioninthequestionnaireandthatofthewholequestionnaire．Becauseofthelimitedabilityoftheauthor，therearestillmanylimRationsinthecurrentstudy，however，researchonthecausesofmisunderstandingfromthecognitivep
