2、离以及“山巅之城"的理想等一系列政治价值在内的“美国信念一，可以说是“新教精神’’的世俗化信条。美国政治价值植根于美国民众意识深层，美国人在“美国信念"的指引下建设塑造着自己的国家和政治。同时“美国信念"在理想的高度，不断对政治现实进行修正，成为美国政治不断进行变革的动力，这些变革突出地体现在美国四次基督教大觉醒运动中。美国政治现实与美国信念之间存在的裂痕，成为引发宗教“大觉醒’’运动和新教精神复苏的重要导因，“美国信念"也会经历新的复兴，相应的政治改革亦随之发生。“大觉醒”运动将新教精神、“美国信
