2、anydifferentfactorstowardaworldinwhichbarrierstocross-bordertradeandinvestmentaredeclining;perceiveddistanceisshrinkingduetoadvancesintransportationandtelecommunicationstechnology;materialcultureisstartingtolooksimilartheworldover;andnationaleconomiesaremerging
3、intoaninterdependent,integratedglobaleconomicsystem.TheChinesemarkethasbeenattractinglotsofbusiness.Thousandyearsago,manybusinessmenfromRomeorsomewesterncountrieswentthroughtheSilkRoadtoChinaforChinesebeautifulporcelain,silksandtea.Theopiumwarinthe19thcenturybr
4、oughtdisasterstoChinawhilealsopromptedalargenumberofadventurersandbusinesspeoplefromtheWestcountriestosearchtheriches.Sincethelate1970s,China^“opendoor"policyandunprecedentedacquisitionofforeigninvestmentwasconsideredadreamcometruefortheWesternbusinesspeople(Fa
5、ng1999).AfterthattimemanybusinessmanbeganswarmintoChina,thetotalvaluesofimportsandexportwasfromalmostzeroin1979increasedto14219.1(100millionUS)in2005.Foreigndirectinvestmentwasalsofromalmostzeroin1979increasedto603.25(100millionUS)in2005(Chinastatisticalyearboo
6、k2006).Aftertwodecades'development,ChinabecamethelargestrecipientofforeigndirectinvestmentamongdevelopingcountriesandbecamethesecondlargestintheworldaftertheUnitedStates.Theworldeconomyisbecomingglobalized,asnewblocksandrelationshipsemergetocreatearadicallydiff
7、erentbusinessenvironment.Internationalbusinessnegotiationsareincreasinglyrecognizedasapartofthemanagerialprocess,highlyrelevantfortheimplementationofbusinessstrategies.Negotiationcanbedefinedas"aprocessbywhichdisputantscommunicatetheirdifferencestooneanotherthr
