2、frock.Byconductingaseriesofconfiningpressureuninstall-recoverytestatthephaseofresidualstrengthsofrock,westudythemechanicalcharacteristicsofrockintheresidualphase.Wesimulatethepost-peakslidingfrictiondeformationofrockwithsinglestructureplaneandtheinterlayerslidingfrictiondef

3、ormationcharacteristicsinthelayeredsurroundingrockwhentunneling.Themainresearchcontentsandresultsofthispaperareasfollows:(1)Theresidualstrengthofrockareaffectedbythepeakstrengthandtheconfiningpressure,andtheresidualstrengthismoresensitivetothelowconfiningpressure.Thereasoni

4、sthereislittlecontactbetweenfractureplanesatlowconfiningpressure,andtheinteractionforceissmall.Withtheincreaseofconfiningpressure,thecontactareabetweenfractureplanesincrease,thestress-strainrelationshipalsochangefrombrittlestressdroptoplasticslip.Itismainlytheprocessofcohes

5、ionlosingfromthepeakstrengthtotheresidualstrengthforshaleandthereductionofinternalfrictionangleisverysmall.(2)Intheloadingandunloadingconfiningpressuretestattheresidualstageofrock,theeffectofunloadingconfiningpressureonthemechanicalcharacteristicsattheresidualstageforrockha
