2、ion.Theeffectoccursthroughtheinteractionofnuclearspinswithbondingelectronspinsratherthanthroughspace.Let'sfirstconsidertheabsorptionofahydrogennucleuslabeledAwithonlyoneneighboringhydrogennucleusinavicinalpositionlabeledX.Let'salsoassumethatHAandHXhavesignificantlydifferentchemicalshifts.HXwill
