3、emandinhi-mostcommonandrelativelycost-effectiveprocessesbitionoftheactivityofnitriteoxidizers.Ahighcon-usedtoremovenitrogenfromwastewater.Duringthiscentrationoffreeammonia(FA)inhibitsnitriteprocess,ammoniumisfirstoxidizedtonitratebyaerobicoxidizers,butunfortunatelydecreasestheammoniuma

4、utotrophicnitrifiersandthennitrateisreducedtoremovalrateaswell.Therefore,theoptimalrangeofFAnitrogengasbyheterotrophicdenitrifiersunderthean-concentrationisnecessarynotonlytostabilizenitriteoxiccondition.Thisprocess,however,possessessuchaccumulationbutalsotoachievemaximumammoniumintrin

5、sicshortcomingsas;(1)nitrificationreactionisremoval.InordertoderivesuchoptimalFAconcen-slowandrequiresarelativelylargeamountofoxygentrations,thespecificsubstrateutilizationratesofand(2)denitrificationreactionrequireslotsofexternalammoniumandnitriteoxidizersweremeasured.Thecarbonsource,f

6、requentlynotsufficientinwastewaters.optimalFAconcentrationrangeappearedtobe5–Theshortcutbiologicalnitrogenremoval(SBNR)10mg/Lfortheadaptedsludge.ThesimulatedresultsschemewhichnitrifiesammoniumtonitriteandthenfromthemodifiedinhibitionmodelexpressedbyFAandreducesnitritetonitrogengas[1–4]ma
