2、veregulatoryregimegoverningcompetition.SincetheadventofChina’seconomicreformprogrambeginningthreedecadesago,Chinahasbeenmovingtointegrateitseconomywithintheglobaltradingsystem.ThisarticleprovidesanoverviewofChina’sAnti-MonopolyLaw(“AML”)emphasizingkeyareasofsignificant
3、apparentdivergencefromU.S.antitrustpolicy.Thearticleaddressestheevolutionofanti-monopolypolicyinChinaandtheUnitedStates,observingthat,wheredifferencesexist,China’sAMLfrequentlyreflectsprinciplessimilartothoseonceembeddedinU.S.antitrustpolicy,butwhichhavebeenabandonedor
4、modifiedbyU.S.policymakersandcourtsinasustainedprocessofpolicymakingthroughtrialanderror.ThearticlealsoexaminesspecificareasofdivergencebetweentheAMLandU.S.antitrustpolicy,describinghowpastU.S.policies,whichfindparallelsintheAML,weremodifiedorabandonedovertime.Finally,
5、thearticleconcludesthatinenactingtheAML,Chinesepolicymakersaimtopromoteeconomicgrowthandinnovation.ItalsoexpressesthehopethattheU.S.experience,whichwasdrivenbytheneedtoincreaseitsowneconomicdynamism,mayserveasanabidingpointofreferencetoChina’spolicymakers.I.INTRODUCTIO
