3、lMotorsintheirrespectivesupplierqualitysystems.Accordingly,thismanualandformat,approvedandendorsedbyChrysler,FordandGeneralMotors,shouldbeusedbysuppliersimplementingAPQPtechniquesintotheirdesign/manufacturingprocesses.Inthepast,Chrysler,Ford,andGeneralMotorseachhadtheirow
4、nguidelinesandformatsforensuringsupplierAPQPcompliance.Differencesbetweentheseguidelinesandformatsresultedinadditionaldemandsonsupplierresources.Toimproveuponthissituation,Chrysler,FordandGeneralMotorsagreedtodevelopanddistributethisManual.TheworkgroupresponsibleforthisMa
5、nualwasledbyMikeMazurofFordMotorCompany.ThismanualprovidesgeneralguidelinesforpreparingplansandchecklistsforensuringthatAdvancedProductQualityPlanningisinactualitycarriedoutatthesupplier.ItdoesnotgivespecificinstructionsonhowtoarriveateachAPQPorControlPlanentry,ataskbestl
6、efttoeachcomponentreviewteam.Whiletheseguidelinesareintendedtocoverallsituationsnormallyoccurringeitherintheearlyplanning,designphase,orprocessanalysis,therewillbequestionsthatarise.Thesequestionsshouldbedirectedtoyourcustomer’sSupplierQualityactivity.Ifyouareuncertainast
