3、neweconomicgeographyandneo-Marxistgeography.Sincereformandopening-up,urbanspatialareainChinahasgrownfastwiththerapiddevelopmentofeconomyandurbanization,whichincreasinglyarousestheat-tentionofeconomistsandgeographersofChina.Inrecentyears,therearemoreandmorearticlesfocusingonChin
4、a'surbanspatialgrowthwiththeapplicationofforeigntheoreticalmodels.Existingtheoreticalmod-elsandempiricalanalysis,however,donotrevealtheuniqueandfundamentalpowerfactorwhichpromotestherapidgrowthofChina'surbanspace,especiallyignoringthekeyroleoflocalgovernmentswhichistheuniquephe
5、nomenonduringtherapidprocessofurbanizationinChina.Inthecontextofanurban-ruraldualstructureofthelandmarket,thelocalgovernments,especiallythecitygovernments,playadecisiveroleintheprocessofurbanlanddevelopmentandurbanspatialgrowth.Basedontheinvolvedtheoreticalmodelofurbaneconomics
6、,thisresearchattemptstoconceiveanurbaneconomicsmodelintroducingthekeyroleoflocalgovernmentsinordertoanalyzetheChina'surbanspatialgrowthandinterrelatedissues.Itisconclud-edthat,firstly,China'surbanspatialgrowthisactuallytheresultofthemulti-stakeholdergame,inwhichlo-提要:城市空间扩展是城市经
