4、atesandbehaviorsinternalofmiddlewareplatform.Reflectivemiddlewareisabletoopenuptheplatformimplementationtomeetsuchrequirements.Therearethreelimitationsincurrentresearchandexperimentsonreflectivemiddleware:theyfocusonpartsorindividualentityofasystem,lackingaglobalview;theyonlyaddressthe
5、reflectionoftheunderlyingplatform,ignoringthereflectionoftheapplication;theymostlyexperimentonCORBAwithlessworkonJ2EE.Thedesignandimplementationofareflectivecomponentoperatingplatform,calledPKUAS,ispresented.Basedonitscomponentizedstructure,PKUASintroducessoftwarearchitectureasthegloba
6、lviewofthewholereflectivesystem.AsaJ2EE-compliantapplicationserver,PKUAScanreflectboththeunderlyingplatformandEJBcomponents.Moreover,thispaperdemonstratestheusageofreflectionwiththePKUASmanagementtoolandevaluatesPKUASthroughcomparisonwithotherreflectivemiddlewares.Theworkpresentedinthi
