1、TransitionSchemeTheInstituteofCharteredAccountantsofIndiahasproposedtointroduceNewSchemeofEducationandTraining.StructureoftheproposedschemeofEducationandTrainingforCharteredAccountancyisavailableinourwebsitewww.icai.org.Thestudentswhoareundergoingeducationandtrainingundertheexistingschemea

2、reofferedtheTransitionSchemeasgivenbelow.ProposedTransitionSchemeforProfessionalEducation(Course-I)StudentsAnexistingstudentofProfessionalEducation(Course-I)hastwooptions:¨TocontinuewiththeProfessionalEducation(Course-I)tillthelastProfessionalEducation(Examination-I)isheldinNovember2007;or

3、¨ToswitchovertoCPTatanytimetillthelastProfessionalEducation(Examination-I)isheldinNovember2007.AllstudentsofProfessionalEducation(Course-I)canswitchovertoCommonProficiencyTest(CPT).Theyhavetoapplyintheprescribedformattoanyoftheofficesstatedinbackcoverpageofthisbooklet.TheyhavetoremitRs.100

4、alongwiththefilledinapplicationform.TheBoardofStudieswillsendthemstudypackageforCPT.AllsuchstudentsareentitledtoappearCPTexaminationproposedtobeheldonNovember,2006.Therewillbeafacilityforonlineapplicationandremittanceoffees.ProposedTransitionSchemeforProfessionalEducation(Course-II)Student

5、sStudentsoftheProfessionalEducation(Course-II)wouldfallunderthefollowingbroadcategories(atthetimeofintroductionofthenewScheme):-(a)StudentswhohavepassedoneoftheGroupsofProfessionalEducation(Examination-II);StudentswhohaveappearedinProfessionalEducation(Examination-II),butnotpassedanyoftheG

6、roups.StudentswhohaveregisteredforProfessionalEducation(Course-II)andeligibletoappearinProfessionalEducation(Examination-II),butnotyetappeared.(b)Studentswhoareregistered,provisionallyorotherwise,forProfessionalEducation(Course-II),butineligibletoappearinProfessionalEducation(Examination-I
