2、ndMethods1.Clinicalanalyzing67patientswhowerenasopharyngealcarcinomawithlargecervicallymphnodemetastases(accordingtoTNMClassificationofnasopharyngealcarcinomaFuzhou,China,92bystaginguptoN2-N3)wereenrolledandrandomlydividedintoexperimentalgroup(n=35)andcontrolgroup(n=32).Microwavehyperthe

3、rmiacombinedwithradiationtherapyandchemotherapy(HT+RT+CT)wereperformedintheexperimentalgroupandcontrolgroupjustwithradiationtherapyandchemotherapy(RT+CT).Radiationtreatmentwasusing6Mv-X-ray,thedosagetothecervicallymphnodeswere60-75Gy/30-33fractions.Chemotherapywasstartedfromthe2thweek,in

4、whichpatientsweregivenDDP20mgd1-5,5-Fu750mgd1-5.Thetreatmentwasrepeatedevery3weeksfortwocycles.Usingsinglenodeinvasivethermocoupleprobestomeasurecervicallymphnode’stemperature,cervicallymphnodeswereheatedbya915MHzmicrowavethermotherapymachine.Patientsweregivenhyperthermia4-8timesonaverag

5、efor45minimmediatelyafterradiotherapy.2.ApplicatormeasuringMicrowavethermotherapymachineuse200wpower,applicatorisawayfromthephantommodel’ssurface1cmand2cm,heatsup5minutesand7minutescontinually.HotsensitivefluidepitaxialandtheopticalfibertemperaturemeasurementsystemareusedtomeasuretheJian
