2、rse-seinefleetsofChileinthe1970s.InternationalmidwatertrawlfleetsfromChinaandothercountrieshavetargetedChileanjackmackerelonthehighseasintheSouthPacificRegion.HowevertheproductionofChileanjackmackerelhasgreatchangesoverthepast20years.Resourcesshowedatrendofgradualdecli
3、ne.Soithasgreatsignificancetostudythespatiotemporalchangesandtofindthereasonofthechanges.ThestatusofthisfishresourcehasbeenassessedbyChileanJackMackerelsub-groupoftheScienceWorkingGroupsince2009.However,thefishery-dependentabundanceindexdataoftheinternationalfisheryuse
4、dinthestockassessmentmodelwerenotstandardized,andlargevarianceswereobservedbetweentheestimatedandobservedannualCPUEofChinesetrawlfishery.SotheCPUEmustbestandardizedandadjustedforfactorssuchashistoricalchangesinvessels,fishingfactorsandenvironmentalfactorstoserveasindic
5、esofabundance.Forthesereasons,thispaperstudythefishinggroundofChileanjackmackerelfromthetwopartsinordertoassesstheresourceofChileanjackmackerelandfindthereasonthatleadtothechangesoftheresource.Atthefirstpart,basedonthefishingdataofTrachurusmurphyifrom2008to2012whichpro
6、videdbyShanghaiDeepseaFisheriesCorporationwhosevesselsincludingKAISHUN,KAILI,KAIFUandKAIYUoperatedbeyondexclusiveeconomiczoneofChile,aswellastheenvironmentalfactorssuchasseasurfacetemperature(SST),chlorophyllconcentration,andNino3.4indexinthefishingground,thispaperbuil
