2、chnologyinJPEG2000,aneweststaticimagecompressionstandard.Firstly,thisthesisanalyzesthetheoryfundamentalofwavelettransformindetmls,andalsointroducesmulti—resolutionanalysis(MRA),MNlatalgorithmandLiftingScheme.ThenboththewaveletfiltersadoptedinJPEG2000andanewfil
3、terLS97areintroduced.TheLS97waveletcharacterizessimplecoefficients.beingeasytoimplementwithhardwareandgoodcompatibilitywiththeCDF97wavelet,SOitcanbeusedasasubstituteforCDF97.AMatlabsimulationisperformedtotestthecompatibilitybetweenCDF97andLS97,andtheresultsshO
4、WtheyalmosthavesaFneperformance.Afterselectingwaveletfilters,thisthesisdesignsthearchitectureof2-DDWT.Inthecourseofdesign,someapproachesareappliedtothenormal2-DDWTforoptimizingthearchitecture.suchascombinationofscalestepinDWTforrowsandforcolumnswhichcanreducet
5、henumberofmultiplicationby2times.substitutingshift—addformultiplicationandextractingcommonoperatorintheshift·add.etc.TheembeddedsymmetricextensiontechnologyiSusedforthecalculationofdataintheboundary,SOthearchitectureneednottheadditonalRAMsfordataextension.Toim
