2、edbythemultitudeofdifferentanalyticaltechniquesthatareavailableandthismakesfordifficultiesinspecifyingthemostsuitablemethodstouseinanygivensituation．AlthoughtheequipmentLaserNetFinesisanopticaloil◆debrisautomonitorwhichisdesignedtoproviderealtimemeasure

3、mentsofsizedistributionsandshapecharacteristicsofwearparticles，butitsopticalsystemisbasedonthetraditionalopticalimagingtheoriesandCan’tgetparticles3-dimensionalimage．Digitalin-lineholography、航tllnumericalreconstructionhasbeendevelopedintoanewtool，thatro

4、utinelyachievesbothlateralanddepthresolution,atleastatthemicronlevel，inthree—dimensionalimaging．Theexperimentalandnumericalprocedureshave●beenincorporatedintoaprogrampackagewithaveryfastreconstructionalgorithmthatisnowcapableofreal-timereconstruction．Th

5、iscapabilityisdemonstratedfordiverseobjects，suchassuspensionofmicrospheresandparticlessamples．Usingin-linedigitalholographic3-Dimagingtowearparticlemorthologicalanalysis，thedissertationprovidesanewtechnologyonoilmonitoring．Thedevelopedsystemhasthefollow

6、ingfunctionssuchaswearparticlescounting，morphologyauto◆analysis，tribologicalfailureprediction．Theprinciple，thecharacters，andthehardwares，thesoRwareswerepresented．Theexperimentsresultprovedthefeasibilityofsuchtechnology．Atlast,thefollowingworksandsomekey
