3、onagreementwithSerbiaandMontenegro.ItinvitedtheCommissiontosubmitdraftnegotiatingdirectivesasquicklyaspossible.OnIraq,theCouncilrestatedthewillingnessoftheUniontoorganise,jointlywiththeUSA,inclosecollaborationwiththeIraqiauthoritiesandtheUN,aninternationalconferencetofoster,enha

4、nceandcoordinatetheinternationalcommunity'ssupportforIraqduringthetransitionalperiod.TheCouncilprovidedanupdateonpreparationsfortheEU-RussiaSummiton10MayandauthorisedthePresidencyandtheCommissiontofinalisethosepreparations.AtitsmeetingonGeneralAffairs(seeseparatepressrelease8035

5、/05),theCouncilalso:–adoptedtheUnion'scommonpositionwithaviewtotheNPTReviewConference(Treaty ontheNon-ProliferationofNuclearWeapons);–extendedtheUnion'srestrictivemeasureswithregardtoBurma/Myanmar;–decidedtoapplyadditionalcustomsdutiestocertainproductsoriginatingintheUSA(in thec
