5、agreattreasureintheChinesehistory．Withtheincreasingdevelopmentofmedicalexchange，themagicclinicalandtherapeuticeffectofTCManditsuniquetheoreticalsystemhaveattractedinternationalattention．However，duetothegreatbarriersintheaspectsoflanguageandculture，andth

6、edifferencesbetweenthewesternmedicineandTCM，therearemanyproblemsinthetranslationofTCM，suchastheproblemsofconfusion,theredundanttranslationandtheinaccuratetranslation．Asaresult，thepresentleveloftranslationqualityisrelativelylow．Andtheauthorbelievesthatth

7、erearefeweffectivetranslationtheoriesandstandardscauses吐1emainbarriersinthetranslationofTCM．InordertoachievetheaimofgivingthestudyoftheTCMtranslationabroadervision,thisthesisattemptstoapplyReceptionTheorytotheTCMtranslationandtoprovetheapplicabilityofRe

8、ceptionTheoryintheEnglishtranslationofTCM．ItistruethatmanyChinesetermscontainrichculturalinformation．Thesourcelanguagereadersdonotusuallyhavedifficultiestounderstandandaccepttherelatedinformation，butitisnotthecaseforthetargetlang
