2、cated.Theybothhaveadvantagesanddisadvantagesineachphaseofeducation.ThisdocumentprovidesabriefcomparisonoftheeducationalsystemsintheUKandChinarelatingtothefollowinglevelsofeducation:(1)PrimaryEducation;(2)SecondaryEducation;and(3)HigherEducation.Itprovidessuggestionsforhowtheeducationalsystems
3、ineachcountrycouldbeimproved,concludingthateducationisoneofthemostbasic,yetmostimportantelementsinasociety,thuscountriesneedtotrytoimprovetheireducationalsystemstotheextentpossible.InChina,theeducationisdividedintothreecategories:basiceducation,highereducation,andadulteducation.TheCompulsoryE
4、ducationLawofstipulatesthateachchildhavenineyearsofformaleducation.BasicEducationBasiceducationinChinaineludespre-schooleducatiorprimaryeducationandregularsecondaryeducation.Preschool,orkindergarten,canlastuptothreeyears,withchildrenenteringasearlyasagethree,untilagesix,whentheytypicallyente
5、relementaryschool.Theacademicyearisdividedintotwosemesters.Secondaryeducationisdividedintoacademicsecondaryeducationandspecialized/vocational/technicalsecondaryeducation.Academicsecondaryeducationisdeliveredbyacademicloweranduppermiddleschools.Lowermiddleschoolgraduateswishingtocontinuetheire
