3、ords:ThepresentstudyinvestigatesthetransportpropertiesofcementmortarwithCa-Al-NO3layereddoublehy-Ca-Al-NO3layereddoublehydroxidesdroxides(LDHs).Aco-precipitationmethodisappliedtosynthesizetheCa-Al-NO3LDHsandtheeffectoftheTortuositysynthesisenvironmentonthesi
4、zeandparticleshapeisstudied.ThesynthesizedCa-Al-NO3LDHsareanalyticallyRapidchloridemigrationcharacterizedbyXRD,SEMandFTIRanalyses.TherelationshipsbetweenthesizesandadditionamountofCa-Long-termchloridediffusiontestAl-NO3LDHsandthemechanicalandtransportpropert
5、iesofmortarsareinvestigated.RapidchloridemigrationTransportproperty(RCM)testsareperformedtothecementmortarswithCa-Al-NO3LDHs.TheresultsshowthatpermeabilityofMechanicalpropertythedesignedconcretedecreasedwiththeadditionofCa-Al-NO3layereddoublehydroxides(LDHs
6、).Thedecreaseofchloridemigrationcoefficientscanbeattributedtotheenhancedbarriereffectbecauseoftheincreaseoftortuosity.Inlong-termnaturaldiffusiontests,LDHspresentsignificantlyenhancedbarriereffectduetothecombinedchloridebindingabilityandimprovedtortuosity.1.Intro
7、ductionworkbyMaxwellandCussler[16,17],anadditionofonly1%offlake-shapedadditiveswithahighaspectratiobyvolumewillobviouslyThedurabilityofconcreteinmostcasesisrelatedtoitspermeabilityincreasethephysicalbarrierpropertyofthehybridmatrix.Thetortu-(ormorepreciselyp
8、enetrability)tofluids[1–3].Thepermeabilityisaosityofpenetrationpathfordiffusingmoleculesisprincipallyinflu-resultantofmanyfactorssuchasthepermeableporosityofthehar-encedbythefollowingfactors:thevolumefrac
