3、:Date:AI:Date:ULTRASONICEXAMINATIONPROCEDURERevision0Date30/04/2017Page20of201.ScopeofApplication1.1ThisprocedureiscompiledinaccordancewiththerequirementsofCodeSectionI、SectionVandSectionⅧDivision1&2.1.2Inaccordancewiththisprocedureapulse-echotypeofultrasonicinstrumentshallbeusedforCodep

4、roductexamination.Singleprobe,anglebeamscanningshallbetheprincipalmethod,ifnecessary,straightbeamscanningmayalsobeused.Allscanningmethodsusedaremanual.1.3Thisprocedureisapplicableforultrasonicexaminationofbutt-welded,fullpenetratedjointinwrought(rolled,drawn,forgedorextruded)materialwith

5、thicknessequaltoorgreaterthan5/16in.(8mm)detecting,locatingandevaluatingthereflectorsfromtheweldmetal,heataffectedzoneandbasemetaladjacenttheweld.1.4Ultrasonicexaminationofsinglesideweldedpartialpenetratedweldsandausteniticsteelweldsarenotconsideredtobewithinthescopeofthisprocedure.1.5Un

6、lessotherprocedurehasbeenapprovedandacceptedthatmayspecifyparticularrequirements,ultrasonicexaminationrelatingtomethod,evaluation,anddetailedtechniqueandrequirementshallbeinaccordancewiththisprocedure.2.NDEPersonnel2.1NDEpersonnelshallbequalifiedandcertifiedinaccordancewith“WrittenPracti
