2、likelytopreventnationalharmonyfromturningintoconflicts.If,comparingtheNationalPolicywithanothercountry,ChineseorAmericangovernmentisabletofindoutthedeficienciesofthepolicygraduallyandimproveit.Asacountrywithoverfivethousandyearsold,Chinahasfifty-sixdistinctethnicgroups.HanChinesec
3、onstitutesninety-onepointfiveonepercentofthetotalpopulationinChina.Otherfifty-fivegroups,whicharecallednationalminority,distributethroughoutthecountry.Accordingtothissituation,theChinesegovernmenthasmadeupaseriesofethnicpoliciesandlegalregulationsafter1949.Inordertopromotetheethni
4、cstofightforabetterlifeandtodevelopoursocietytogether,theChinesegovernmentsetoutsomepolicieslikeguaranteeingalltheethnicsareequal,combiningalltheethnicsanddevelopingalltheethnicswithoutprejudice.TheChineseEthnicPolicyismuchmorecomprehensivethanAmericanone.Itcontainsdifferentregula
5、tionsindifferentareas,likepolitics,economy,education,linguistics,culturesandcustomsandregionalbelief,etc.WhenitcomestotheAmericanEthnicPolicy,Ihavetosay,itisnotreallyclear.TheU.S.,whichiscalled“acountrymadeupwithsettlers”,hassufferedalongtimeinvadedbytheEuropeanarmiesbeforeitwasfo
6、unded.SoalotofpeoplefromdifferentcontinentsandcountriesgraduallyreachedthemidandlowattitudesinNorthAmericafromthemiddlecenturies.Intheoldtime,racialprejudicewasseriousintheAmericansociety.ThiscanbeimprovedbyareportshowedinpublicbytheAmericanProgressinFebruaryin1968.ThatAmericanpeo
