Participatingininternationalclimatechangenegotiations,nationalinterestsand
internationalobligationsarethetwoimportantvariablestodeterminethenegotiation
positionsofChina.However,singalnationalinterestsorinternationalobligations

4、ouldnotexplainthenegotiationpositionsofChinaandherschanges.Simply
pursuitingnationalinterestswhileignoringtheinternationalobligationsofaresult,
Chinawillbeunderenormouspressuresfromtheinternationalonemissionreduction,

nationalinterests;toomuchemphasisingoninternationalobligationsandignoringor
underestimatingtheimportanceofnationalinterestswillnotinfavorofChina's
economicdevelopmentandpeople'slivingstandards,afterall,righttodevelopment
