2、thinkingmainlydependsonthespecificimage,appearanceandtheassociationsofappearance.So,theirlanguagelearningcannotbeseparatedfromthespecificobjects,actionsandsituations.Therefore,inmostcaseschildrenunderstandandexpresslanguagethroughintuitivemovements,expressionsorspecificsituation.Americanbodylanguag
3、eexpertPattiWood1foundinalong-termexperiment:ifapersonwantstoconveycompleteinformationtoothers,simplelanguageonlycovers7%,tone38%,andtheother55%oftheinformationneedstobeconveyedbynon-verballanguage.AmericanpsychologistEdwardT.Hall2alsopointedoutinhisbooktheSilentlanguage3:thesilentlanguagenotonlysh
4、owsmuchmoremeaningthanthesoundlanguage,butalsomuchmoreprofound,assoundlanguagetendstohidemanyorevenmostmeaningoftheexpression.Nomatter“Non-verballanguage”or“silentlanguage”,bothofthemmainlyrefertobodylanguage.Soitisclearthatbodylanguageplaysacommunicativerolewhichcannotbereplacedbysoundlanguage,asi
5、temphasizesthecontentsofthespeechandincreasespecialsignificancetothespeech.Then,whatisbodylanguage?Bodylanguage,whichisanimportantmediumpeopleusetocommunicatewitheachother,referstothepatternsoffacialexpressionsandgesturespeopleusetoexpresstheirthoughtsandfeelingsincommunication.4Itnotonlyreferstoth
