2、traliatointerfereintheissues.Infact,SouthSeaisanindispensablepartofPeople’sRepublicofChina,butasitisfarawayfromthemainland,ithasbeenunderthecontrolofneighboringcountriesforalongtime.TheSouthChinaSeaaboundsinoilandnaturalgasresources.Besides,theSouthChinaSeaisanimportantpat
3、hwayforChina'sforeigntradeandenergytransportation.ThenavigationalfreedomandsecurityoftheSouthChinaSeaiscriticalforthecountry'seconomyandopeningup.Infact,nowadays,somesoutheasterncountries,suchasthePhilippines,Vietnam,aredevelopingtheSouthChinaSea.Recently,supportedbytheUni
4、tedStatesandotherdevelopedcountries,someSoutheasternAsiacountriesevendeclaimedthesovereignoftheSouthChinaSea,whichinfuriatethesensationofChinesepeople.ChinagovernmenthasrepeatedlyexpectedthefriendlycooperationwiththeAssociationofSoutheastAsianNations(ASEAN)tomaketheSouthCh
5、inaSeasafeandexpressedthehopeofsafeco-developingoftheSouthChinaSea.What’smore,Chinacontinuallyinsiststhateachcountry'snavigationalandflightfreedomintheSouthChinaSeaareaundertheinternationallawshouldbefullyguaranteed.Chinaalsovowstomakejointeffortswithotherstoparticipateini
6、nternationalcooperationonregionaloffshoresafety,anofficialsurnamedLiusaid.Infact,someChinesepeoplearenotsatisfiedwiththegovernment’speacefulreactiontotheissue.Somepeopleevencriticizethegovernment’sinactionontheissueratherthansomeinefficientremarks.Thosewhoareaggressivewith
