6、tupofthe7.8milliontonnesperyear(MTPA)trainsinQatarmarkthemostrecentpinnacleinthesearchforeconomiesofscaleintheLNGindustry.However,theapplicationoftheseverylargetrainsforgeneralLNGapplicationsisverylimited.ToproducethisamountofLNGrequires~42MSCMD(1500MSCFD)offee

7、dgas.WhatisoftenoverlookedinthediscussionoflargeLNGtrainsisthataresourceofabout370GCM(13TCF)isneededtosupporttheoperationofonesuchtrainovera25-yearlife.ThisisnearlyaslargeastheArunfieldinIndonesia425GCM(15TCF),whichwasthebackboneoftheLNGplantdevelopmentinthatre
