2、ticsastheChineseversionofWilliamShakespeare'sRomeoandJuliet,whichwaswrittenjusttwoyearsearlierin1596.TangXianzu(1550-1617)andWilliamShakespeare(1564-1616),werecontemporarieslivinginvastlydifferentcultures.Inthetwoworksunderstudyinthispaper,thesharedthemeoftheheroandtheheroinepursuinggen
