3、lturalbackgroundsorpeoplefromthesamenationswiththesamebackgrounds,butbelongingtodifferentsocialgroupsorsocialclasseshavedifferentperceptionsofvariouscolors.Thedifferentperceptionsofcolorsresultinaseriesofculturalmeaningsofcolorwords.Changesinthemeaningofcolorwor

4、dsaredeterminedbycultureofwhichthesubstantialcontentisinturnreflectedbytheculturalmeaning.ThispapermakesanelementaryresearchintothedifferencesbetweenculturalconnotationofEnglishandChinesecolorwordsfromthefollowingthreeaspects:Firstly,theintroductionofthedefiniti
