2、eopleinsocialactivitiestoseektheidealcommunicationeffect.Inmanycommunicativesituations,itcandisguiseunsatisfying,disgusting,embarrassingandeventerrifyingfactsandphenomena.Atthesametime,itcanmaintainthespeaker’simageandthelistener’sself-esteem,sothatit
3、couldsavethetwoparties’facesandmakesurethatcommunicationgoonverywell.Therefore,euphemismhasbecomeanessentiallanguagetooltocoordinateinterpersonalrelationship,whichiscalled“thedrivingforceinthecommunication”.Asalanguagefiguresofspeech,euphemismisalangu
