4、ing.GrammarinstructionexperiencesthesimilarrisesandfallsinChinaandviewpointsfrommiddleschooIstudentsshouldbetakenintoseriousconsiderationwhilewecarryoutEnglishteachinginChina.Keywords:grammarinstructionroleofgrammargrammardebateChinesestudentsI.Introduction
5、Afterabriefreviewofthehistoryoflanguageinstruction,wefindthatgrammarhasalwaysbeenplayingaroleinforeignlanguageteachingandlearning.Thismayprobablybeoneofthereasonsleadingtothedebatesofteachinggrammar.Thedebatesresultinfreshcognitionofgrammar;itisveryimportan
6、tinthatnotonlydoesithelpimprovelearners’writingability,butalsoithelpslearnersdobetterinreadingcomprehensionandlisteningalike;moresignificantly,theproblemofhowtoteachgrammarhasbeenraised.FromthesurveyPart4wefindthatmiddleschooIstudentsfromChinabelievethatgra
