5、Afterabriefreviewofthehistoryoflanguageinstruction，wefindthatgrammarhasalwaysbeenplayingaroleinforeignlanguageteachingandlearning．Thismayprobablybeoneofthereasonsleadingtothedebatesofteachinggrammar．Thedebatesresultinfreshcognitionofgrammar；itisveryimportan

6、tinthatnotonlydoesithelpimprovelearners’writingability，butalsoithelpslearnersdobetterinreadingcomprehensionandlisteningalike；moresignificantly,theproblemofhowtoteachgrammarhasbeenraised．FromthesurveyPart4wefindthatmiddleschooIstudentsfromChinabelievethatgra
