2、ntationofdiplomaticsfromseveralpartsoftheancientAsiatickingdomsincontactarkandVarghuman(aboutthemiddleofthe7thcentury)topresenttheirgifts.SuchinterpreationissupportedalsobyaSogdianinscriptionentionstheambassadorsfromChaghanyan(apartofthehistoricalregionofTokharistan)andChach(Tashkent).Unfortu

3、nately,theupperpartofthebassadorsodernroad,sotheinterpretationofthesceneshasbeenveryenigmaticandconditionedbytheSogdianinscriptionmentionedabove.FormorethantenyearstheFranco–UzbekarchaeologicalexpeditionhasstartedtheresearchesinterruptedintheSovieticperiodportantresults.Thetshadalsotheopportu

4、nitytoconfronttheirconclusionsa,etc.Inparticular,Marshak’sintuitionsdeservespecialattentionbecausetheyshedneeaningofthescenepaintededonthesouthernovingfromthecornerongtheridersontherightpartofthescenethereisalsoVarghumanhimselfrepresentedbiggerinsizethanhisattendants.Ontheleftpart,theprocessi
