1、浅议AGINGANDPRODUCTIVITYAMONGECONOMISTSAbstract--Economists'productivityovertheircareersandasmeasuredbypublicationinleadingjournalsdeclinesverysharplyittedtoaleadingjournalongtheverytoppublishersthanamongothers,andtheprobabilityofacceptanceisincreasinglyrelatedtotheauthor'squalityratherthantheautho

2、r'sage.Itisan(1953)suggestsanearlypeakinproductivityinavarietyofscientificandartisticendeavors,andDiamond(1986)documentsthepatternforseveralscholarlypursuits.LevinandStephan(1992)provideclearevidencethatthisdeclineexistsevenaftercarefulattemptstoaccountforindividualandcohortdifferences.Fair(1994)

3、findsdeclinesinphysicalabilityamongeliterunners,asdoesLydall(1968,pp.113passim)inphysicalabilitiesofthepopulationgenerally.Inthisstudyineproductivitydeclinesinouroainneouruseoftation,theequivalentofhouseholdandestablishmentdata,tostudythestonefieldoveressentiallythesameperiodoftime.SectionIdiscus
