2、hatincreasetherisksofdiabetes.ODELSOFTYPE1DIABETES  Thereareseveralspontaneousrodentmodelsoftype1diabetes,touse[4].  NODMouseTheNODmousealaboratorystrainthatinfactent[5,6].Insulitisispresenticeare45munelesioninvolvinglymphocyticinfiltrationanddestructionofthepanc

3、reaticβcellsleadstohypoinsulinemia,hyperglycemia,ketoacidosis,anddeath.Thereisalargergenderdifferencealesand20%ofmalesdevelopingdiabetesinNODmice[7].  Type1diabetesisapolygenicdisease.BothinhumanandinNODmousetype1diabetes,theprimarysusceptibilitygeneislocatedouse

4、representsprobablythebestspontaneousmodelusedingeicandimmunologicstudiesandseemsparticularlyanalogoustohumantype1diabetes.Ithasprovidednotonlyessentialinformationontype1diabetespathogenesis,butalsovaluableinsightsintomechanismsofimmunoregulationandtolerance.Import

5、antly,itallomunointerventionstrategiespotentiallyapplicabletoman[9,10].  Type1BioBreedingRatModelsTheBioBreeding(BB)ratelyusefulforstudyingbothspontaneousdiabeticprone(BBDP)andinduceddiabeticresistant(BBDR)diabetesandassociateddiabeticplications[12].Asinhuman

6、type1diabetes,thesyndromeinBBratsischaracterizedbyhyperglycemia,lymphocyticinsulitis,andthepresenceofantibodiestoisletcellsurfacemolecules.Inmonouse,thepancreaticisletsaresubjectedtoanimmuneattackacrophagesandnaturalkillercellsbeingrecruitedtotheinsulitis[13,14];t
