3、berofexercises,problems,anddetailedsolutions.Itdoesnotprovidemuchhistoricalperspectiveonthedevelopmentofquantummechanics.Subjectssuchasthephotoelectriceffect,black-bodyradiation,thedualnatureofelectronsandphotons,andtheDavissonandGermerexperimentsarenoteve
4、ndiscussed.Toprovideatextthatstudentscanusetogainintroductorylevelknowledgeofquantummechanicsasappliedtochemistryproblems,suchanon-historicalapproachhadtobefollowed.Thistextimmediatelyexposesthereadertothemachineryofquantummechanics.Sections1and2(i.e.,Chap
